Mediha

The film tells the story of the fascinating and heartbreaking journey of Madiha, a Yazidi girl kidnapped by ISIS together with her younger brothers. When she manages to flee the nightmare, she begins searching for her lost family members, while struggling with the traumas of her past. Through personal video diaries, Madiha reveals her painful but inspiring story, as a metonymy of the horrors experienced by her people and their fight for justice. Hers is a powerful story about courage, survival, and hope.
