Sally Abed is a social activist in Standing Together – a socialist Arab-Jewish movement that advocates peace, equality and social justice. Sally identifies herself as Palestinian and fights for the legitimacy of that identity. She struggles to find her place in Arab society in Israel, but feels different, like she does not belong. Her family wishes Sally would keep a lower profile, yet she is unable to. The search for belonging leads her to move from Jaffa to Haifa and continue to fight for her principles.

Anat (40) is an HR manager and workplace harassment officer. She is disappointed by the promotion of her best friend Chen (40), to the position she yearned for. Chen, however, promises to promote Anat. Yet, when Anat finds out about the abusive intimate relationship between Chen and Hagar (40), a temp who dreams of a permanent position, it shakes her world.
She is torn between her professional aspirations and close relationship with Chen on the one hand and her moral and professional commitment on the other. This conflict leads to an inner agonizing journey of disillusionment and acceptance.
