Under the Grey Sky

After Lena is arrested while covering anti-protester violence, the authorities pressure her to betray her principles. At the same time, her husband Iliya faces threats as he struggles to release her, as well as difficult moral decisions: should he release her at any cost and give up on their conscience? The film is based on the true story of Katziaryna Andreyeva and Igor Ilyash. It highlights the heavy personal cost of political activism, as well as its vital role in the struggle for democracy. The film depicts the situation in Belarus, but is highly relevant to other contexts as well.
