Wilfred Buck

A profound and inspiring voyage into the life of Wilfred Buck, a member of the Opaskwayak Cree – one of the largest and most influential First American Nations, known for its rich spiritual and astronomical tradition. After a difficult childhood of displacement and addiction, Buck finds his way back to the ancient lore of his people. In his voyage between past and present, he copes with the traumatic impact of colonialism and finds amazing strength in his forefathers’ roots. The film combines rare archival footage, reconstructions and interviews to present a story of healing and heritage that keep guiding Buck’s path as a spiritual mentor.
