Música!

The film, by Academy Award winners Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman focuses on the unifying power of music. It tells the story of the Amadeo Roldán Conservatory in Havana, an institute which has trained Cuba’s finest musicians over the past 120 years. Despite the shortage of basic equipment as a result of Cuba’s political isolation, the US charity Horns to Havana helps the institute with donations and professional training. The films documents Cuba’s young and talented musicians over a period of several years, their meetings with volunteers from the US, and an unforgettable study tour of New Orleans. "Música!" shows how the love of music crosses boundaries and bridges cultural gaps.
