Jenny, a young woman addicted to crystal meth, finds out she is pregnant and in danger of imprisonment. The state appoints a peer recovery doula for her, Marla, whom Jenny finds difficult to trust. Gradually, a tender relationship is woven between them, as Jenny decides to move up her sentence to ensure a place in a prison nursery, and thus keep her future child.
