Child of Dust
Israeli Premiere!
Sang is one of tens of thousands of children born to Vietnamese women and American servicemen during the Vietnam war. At age 55, he travels to the states to meet his birth father and his new family. The encounter reveals old wounds, repressed traumas and profound cultural gaps. The film is a sensitive documentation of a voyage of identity and belonging, telling a universal story on the intergenerational implications of the war and the longing for a father’s love. A single unexpected meeting can unsettle an entire lifetime.
