The tracking ended with the evacuation of the settlement, its destruction, and the departure of its residents to a new life. We shall resent the feelings of the non-religious fishermen of Dugit looking how the dream of implantation in the Territories bursts in peaces. Man, nature and environment are hostages, like pieces of a cynical chessboard play, in the hands of leaders, politics and military men. As director Gil Karni said, “the changes in my intimate way of thinking which occurred while creating the film, in front of the events in that region, with the people I was in close relation for already 6 years.” Screening in presence of the Director

  • In Ukraine

Play International Documentary Films Screenings: Fri 29.12 | 21:30 | Radical House Tickets Tickets Poland/Germany, 2023, 82 min Director: Tomasz Wolski, Piotr Pawlus Language and Subtitles: Ukranian, Russian, Subtitles in English and Hebrew Cast: Production: Festivals: Visions du Réel, Berlinale Prizes: Visions du Réel Special Mention In Ukraine Eighteen months after the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine War, while most of us tend to forget it ever existed, this film provides a firsthand experience of the disaster. We have all grown weary of wartime images: explosions, rocket blasts and soldiers crowd our television screens. The filmmakers have chosen a different imagery: a broad and quiet camera movement from Kiev to Kharkov, across wounded cities and deserted villages. Accompanied by a soft soundtrack, almost without dialogue, the beautiful cinematography avoids the routine romantization of war, and instead of leaving the viewers distant and detached, it touches their hearts.

After breaking into and wrecking a house, a social worker arrives in Calra’s home and tells her she is five months pregnant. In a foster home for young mothers, Carla tries to prepare for adult living without losing her youth. With an expressive and often unappealing main character, the film shifts between the narrative and documentary, with actors who are teenage mothers in real life. This sensitive film avoids sentimentality and morality, and takes a hard look on teenage motherhood.
